Why BLOGGING?
First of all, before I give my opinion on blogging, I would like to write on the meaning of Weblogs from the previous lecture.
WEBLOGS are websites that are updated often (many on a daily basis).
Well, basically, blogging is one of the ways for us to express and share our opinion for people to read and know. Some people write about their daily routine in their blog to replace the use of DIARY that can be considered as traditional and can be lost in time if it’s not kept with care. Diary is used to keep tracks on the activities that are done during the day. Same goes to the use of blog. Sometimes, there are some people who has a short term memory loss use blog / diary to make sure they remembers the activities and even the name of the people, places around them. Blogging helps people to remember back the activities that have been done previously whether it is a bitter, sweet or painful memory. Compared to DIARY, BLOG seems to be easier and practical to the user because it’s simple. The differences between BLOG and DIARY are:
1. Blog is used online while Diary is written in books
2. Blog requires the user to sign up for the BLOGGER account while Diary doesn’t requires that
3. Blog helps the user to trace back their daily routine easily based on the MONTH/WEEK. So, people do not have to lift up the pages of the book one by one.

INTERNET IDENTITY
With the internet, people around the world can interact and communicate globally anytime, anywhere and anyplace. There are some ways which netizen can use to interact to each other exemplified by:
1. Multi User Domains (MUD)
2. Internet Relay Chat (IRC)
MUD is basically a multi-player computer game that combines elements of role-playing games, hack and slash style computer games and social instant messaging chat rooms. This game requires internet connection and players that may be come from diverse identity and places. So, this can be one of the methods in interacting with people that we may not even know their background or identity.
IRC is basically very popular among the internet user. People can chat using Instant Messaging such as Y! Messenger, Skype, Meebo etc. Sometimes people use other identity just to have fun becoming someone else rather than using their real life (RL) identity. It’s not easy to detect whether someone is lying or telling the truth in the cyberspace because it’s all displayed on the monitor but not in front of our eyes. So, to play safe, do not simple reveal your real identity to other internet user because they might be doing any harm to us because it is easy to detect any personal information in the internet.

The digital age
The daily routine of our life as a human being can be very dull if we do not apply technology in our activities. In this digital age, it can be very shocking if we heard that there are still people who do not use technology, and they can be called conservative people. Furthermore, in daily life, we cannot run from it because there are several daily activities that require us to use the technology such as the use of washing machine, television, radio, hand phones, lighting and fan. These are technologies used in daily life besides than the use of the internet or other gadgets.
However, the use of ICT in daily life can cause changes in our life. The speed of technology is indeed very rapid and it seems like we cannot catch our breath if we were trying to grasp of it. Technology can help us to make our life easier and simpler because we do not have to trouble ourselves thinking and doing things that use a lot of our energy. The example is the use of washing machine that needs us to press on the START button to finish everything from WASH, DRAIN and SPIN. That is simple compared to our grandparents and our ancestors that wash their clothes at the river. Thanks to technology!! And Thank God for creating intelligent people who creates such technologies.
But, before becoming very obsess or dependable too much on the technology, we must not forget that these technologies will only makes us even lazier because there are too much of leisure time and the productivity can be affected. Nevertheless, do not simply blame the technology for any negative aspect that happens to you and your surrounding. Blame yourself for being the slave of technology. What is inside yourself determines whether you want to use the technology wisely or not. That’s all. Thank you for reading…
